Our process Labeling First drives are labeled with the customer's name, case number and drive number. First examination Drives are checked for signs of electronic and mechanical failure. Drives with detectible problems are sent directly to the clean room for repair. Imaging The entire hard drive is then imaged to our storage servers in order to limit the use of failing drives. Logical examination The drive image is examined using proprietary software to determine what data can be recovered. Your authorization We will contact you with a list of recoverable files and wait for your authorization before continuing. Data transfer and delivery Recovered data is transferred to a storage medium of your choice, and then shipped to you. We retain a copy of your data on our servers for a period of time to make sure that you get what you need. Note: Dying drives have only so much life left. Powering on a hard drive with hardware problems can do further damage and make your data permanently inaccessible. |
